Cyprus has the longest, most reliable wedding season in the Mediterranean: outdoor ceremonies run dependably from April to November. Within that, the months differ more than the brochures admit. Here's how they actually compare.

Three timing decisions that matter more than the month
Ceremony hour beats calendar month.A 5:30pm June ceremony is kinder than a 1pm May one. Work backwards from sunset (8pm in high summer, 6pm in October) and put the ceremony 90 minutes before it for the photographer's golden hour.
Book the season, not the date.If you enquire saying "early June or mid September", venues offer their gaps and you inherit their best availability. Fixating on one Saturday costs money and choice — Cyprus weekday weddings are normal and identical in every way that matters.
Mind the island's own calendar. Greek Easter week and August 15th reshape opening hours and town-hall availability, and municipality offices work Monday to Friday — land midweek so the paperwork clears before a weekend wedding.

What is the best month to get married in Cyprus?
May, June, September and October are the sweet spots — reliably dry and warm without August's extremes, with the sea between 20°C and 26°C. September edges it for most couples: summer water, golden light and thinning crowds.
Is July or August too hot for a Cyprus wedding?
Not with the right schedule. Coastal afternoons hit 33–36°C, so high-summer weddings run late: 5–6pm ceremony, sunset photos, evening reception. What doesn't work is a 1pm July ceremony on an unshaded lawn.
Can you get married in Cyprus in winter?
Yes — Cyprus winters are mild (16–19°C) and often sunny, and venues offer their best rates. You need an indoor backup for rain and realistic expectations about sea swimming, but December–February elopements are quietly lovely.
When is Cyprus cheapest for weddings?
November to April carries genuine off-season pricing on venues, hotels and flights — often 30–40% below peak. April and November are the value plays that still deliver reliable outdoor weather.
How far ahead should we book for May–October?
Twelve months is comfortable for most venues; eighteen for the signature spots like the Golden Coast jetty or single-wedding five-stars. Shoulder months and weekdays stay available much later.
