The villa wedding is the connoisseur's Cyprus: an exclusive-use estate or private villa where the venue is yours alone. No other couples, no hotel guests wandering into shot, no curfew negotiated with a duty manager. Long tables under festoon lights, a pool instead of a dance floor perimeter, and a party that ends when you decide.
It demands more planning. Catering, furniture, sound, lighting and power arrive with suppliers rather than a hotel package, which is why most villa couples work with a planner, and why the per-guest cost can undercut or overtake a hotel depending on choices.

Is a villa wedding cheaper than a hotel?
For small groups, often yes: villa hire plus caterer can beat hotel per-head maths. Past ~80 guests, hotel scale usually wins on price — villas win on privacy and atmosphere, not bulk economics.
Can any holiday villa host a wedding?
No — the villa needs event permissions and, for the ceremony itself, a licence for civil marriage (or you legalise at the town hall first and celebrate at the villa). Purpose-built estates carry the licences; planners maintain the current list.
What does a villa wedding cost all-in?
