Paphos vs Ayia Napa vs Limassol

Every Cyprus couple ends up torn between the coasts. All three deliver a brilliant wedding; they just deliver different ones. Here's the comparison we walk couples through when they ask us to pick.

How to actually decide

Start from the photograph you can't let go of. If it's vows with the sun setting into the sea, that is physically a west coast image: book Paphos. If it's turquoise shallows around a white gazebo or jetty, that water lives on the east coast: book Protaras or Ayia Napa. If it's a candlelit garden gala with proper service, that is Limassol's home game.

Then stress-test with logistics: who's flying, and how do they cope with transfers? A guest list heavy on grandparents tilts toward Larnaca-side venues or Paphos with its own airport. Finally, price the same wedding in two regions before committing — our calculator does the first pass in thirty seconds, and one enquiry to us prices both properly.

Questions

Region questions, answered

Which region is best for a Cyprus wedding overall?

Paphos, if forced to one answer — the venue depth, its own airport and west-facing sunsets cover the most couples. But water-first couples genuinely do better in Protaras/Ayia Napa, and five-star city weddings belong to Limassol.

Is Ayia Napa a mistake for a family wedding?

No — the wedding hotels sit on the beaches away from the strip, and neighbouring Protaras is entirely family-paced. You get the island's best water; the nightlife only appears if invited.

Why is Limassol more expensive?

Venue tier. The city's wedding stock is dominated by five-stars with stronger kitchens and service ratios; the equivalent four-star beach package mostly doesn't exist there. You pay for a real uplift, not a postcode.

Can we mix regions — marry in one, honeymoon in another?

Easily; the island is two hours end to end. A classic route: marry in Paphos, honeymoon at Pissouri or the Akamas. Or marry at the Golden Coast jetty and decompress in the Troodos mountains.
